This is a full time Carpenter position working at Northwest Medical Center.

 

Summary:

This is a full time Carpenter position working at Northwest Medical Center.

The Carpenter would complete incoming work orders and be involved in room relocations and office/room refreshes. The Carpenter should be experienced with removing molding, installing acrovyn wall board, working with cove base, installing/repairing door and door frames, and countertop and cabinet repair/replacement. The Carpenter will be working alone and occasionally in small groups. Experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.

Work hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm. On occasion, hours may flex as projects and emergencies dictate.

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Experience:

Required: Two (2) years building maintenance of structures.
Preferred: Experience with handling site security"

Skills:

Building construction and maintenance. Read blueprints and diagrams. Variety of "handyman" skills. Communication skills to manage challenging situations and de-escalate. Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Licenses/Certifications:

Required: Valid Arizona Driver's License.
Skilled Nursing Unit: Fingerprint Clearance Card
