Job Description
This is a full time position working days (Monday through Friday) at Northwest Medical Center.
Position Purpose:
Coordinates and prioritizes tasks for the Purchasing Team and performs a variety of duties to purchase material, equipment, merchandise and supplies according to hospital guidelines for cost, quality, and delivery.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education:
Required: High School diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience
Preferred: Associates Degree
Experience:
Required: Five (5) years of previous experience as a purchasing agent, preferably in a hospital setting.
Preferred: Experience leading a small team.
Skills:
Ability to provide daily operational leadership to small teams. Appropriate prioritization of workflow while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented with strong data analysis skills; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.
Licenses/Certifications:
None required.
