Job Description

This is a full time position working at Northwest Medical Center.

 

Summary:

Performs a variety of duties to purchase material, equipment, merchandise and supplies according to hospital guidelines for cost, quality, and delivery.

 

Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

High School diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience required. Associates Degree preferred.

Experience:

Two years of previous experience as a purchasing agent, preferably in a hospital setting.

Skills:

Appropriate prioritization and planning skills, while achieving safety and quality in a high volume environment; Engaging and effective communication and service skills; Adherence to policy and procedures; Process improvement oriented; Self-initiative to assist with whatever is needed.

Licenses/Certifications:

None required.
