Job Description

This is a full time Biomedical Technician position at Northwest Medical Center.

This Biomedical Device Technician position will work with the Biomed team at Northwest Medical Center maintaining many types of medical devices (not lab work). The primary job will be helping the team test and maintain medical devices at the hospital and off site clinics. Work schedule is Monday- Friday, 7:00am – 3:30 pm. This position does participate with on-call roster and procedures. On occasion, hours may flex as projects and emergencies dictate.

Biomedical Technician performs and documents preventive maintenance and repair of general medical equipment and systems with minimal supervision from service management to perform required duties. The Bio Med Tech must demonstrate a working knowledge and use of required test equipment and the electronics, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge and skills, including the ability to interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics, and other applicable service information, required to perform and document preventive maintenance and repair of medical equipment and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established procedures. The Bio Med Tech must demonstrate good organizational skills as well as good communications, interpersonal, and customer relations skills as applied to interactions with personnel and facility staff.


Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements

Education:

Required: Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent training and/or work experience.

Licenses/Certifications: Required: Active Arizona driver's license.
