Director of Perioperative Services @ Northwest Medical Center

 

An exciting career opportunity is now available for a Director of Perioperative Services @ Northwest Medical Center.  Northwest Medical Center is comprised of a 300-bed  hospital has earned numerous awards for Quality and Patient Care, including an “A” safety rating throughout the facility. Additionally, the hospital is accredited in many Perioperative Service Lines, providing outstanding care and earning The Joint Commission’s gold star approval. 

Job Summary:

The Director of Perioperative Services reports directly to the COO. The Perioperative Services Department consists of 16 operating rooms, 32 PACU beds, two Pain Suites, and an incredible team who know how everything works. The Surgical Nurse Director will lead an amazingly talented team of over 60 FTEs in a department known for Robotics and Minimally Invasive procedures, and one that’s able to convert multiple rooms to hybrid suites for CV procedures. 

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing  and current state RN license
  • 3-5 years of OR management or director experience with multiple service lines

General Description:

Responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient-family centered care through the continuum of surgical care. Responsible for directing, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating nursing care and patient outcomes. Responsible for resource management, policy and program development, and fiscal management. Responsible for managing the operations, evaluating manager and employee performance, demonstrating customer satisfaction (internal and external), and strategic and operational planning and program development

Provides leadership and effective personnel management by maintaining and evaluating team member performance and attendance, and providing opportunities for staff development. Promotes and communicates the culture, values, and commitment of Northwest Medical Center through programs that ensure provision of high quality levels of guest service.
